poppy metallic signature large wristlet
photo via google images at We Love Coach
A couple weeks ago I won a $100 Coach gift card thanks to Simply... Inspired
The next day I checked out the site and was instantly reminded of my friend,
bowling buddy and lover of all things COACH, Diane M.
She and her daughter Nicky always had a Coach.com purse, wallet or shoes, etc..
I used to tease them all the time when we were bowling.
I would say something like this:
"If your handbag disapears tonight, Diane, I swear I'm not responsible"
Yesterday, I was shocked & saddened  to hear that Diane had passed away.
We had been out of touch. I didn't know she had been so sick and
I had not been there for her. I didn't get to pay my respects at her memorial service.
All of this playing over and over in my head as the tears roll down my face.
Then I felt a nudge, a niggle, a thought out of nowhere or maybe SOMEwhere.
When did I win the gift card? When was I on the Coach website? And sure enough there it was. The day I was on the website was the day Diane went to Heaven.
And maybe, just maybe she was sending me a message, I just didn't know it at the time.
For the record there was a cute PINK, wristlet I wanted from Coach. However, I just didn't feel I needed it, so I purchased two nice, little Christmas surprises for people that I care about. Also, I always feel it is  better to share the love and wealth whenever possible.
Anyway, I already have two, small, but very nice Coach handbags, given to me

by generous peeps that love me and know my fondness of Coach
I just wish I could have shown Diane my doggone cute handbags. We would  have had a Coach loving moment together one last time in person.
However, I am extremely grateful for the moment or shall I say SIGN from the other side.

Thanks for sharing the love Diane. You were always a good friend to me and that will never be forgotten.
I  ♥ you , and someday I will see you again.

In fact you better have a ( pink or purple) COACH handbag and bowling gear ready for me when we meet at Heaven's Gate.

In loving memory of
 Diane  M.

It needs to be washed, otherwise it's in great condition. I bought it seven years ago, on clearance. Two of my three boys have used it for #BackToSchool.  "Ebin"  refused of course. He is a die-hard UF GATOR fan. I think I definitely have gotten my money's worth, don't you?

My little sister, "Baby Brat" and my daughter, "Bubbles"
Dear Tasha,
Today is your birthday. I wish to take you for a spa day along with mom (Me-ma) and Bubbles.
Then we can all go to lunch and spend some time shopping at the mall.
I'm sure we can find some shoes that we absolutely must have!
Of course this is all just a fantasy.
You left this world a little over five years ago. There is so much that you have missed
and I wish we could have shared together.People say that I/we still can.
At least "figuratively." However they are completely clueless. It is not the same.
I long to see you your face and feel your embrace. A sister's love is like no other.
You were, are and always will be the best.
It is my hope that you are celebrating in Heaven today.
Dance with daddy and please know that I am thinking of you.
I love you. I miss you.
xoxoxo

I have been watching TLC's Extreme-Couponing and am totally fascinated by how people can save so much money on groceries. It is amazing to me how many items these shoppers can stock up on and get basically for free. Many years ago, when 2 of my kids were just toddlers I was quite the "Couponer" However, I slacked off as my family grew. A couple of months ago I decided I needed to get back into clipping my coupons. The first time the Coach & I went shopping, it was a nightmare. It took over 2 hours because I had all my coupons divided into separate envelopes. Thankfully, I spent an entire night with my sister-in-law & she helped me get a binder, labeled dividers & some sports card inserts.  But guess what? It still isn't easy. In fact my family GROANS when I ask them to help me clip, sort & stuff my binder. Also we don't have double or triple coupons here so there is no chance I will be featured on TLC's extreme-couponing. What I do know is that clipping coupons can save you a lot of money if you are willing to the do work. In today's economy it is totally worth it. Listed below are a few of my grocery trip savings:

  1. Spent $170 saved $83 ( my first time. In my defense we had my nephews over & they love snacks!)
  2. Spent $80 saved $58
  3. Spent $121 saved $70 (this included 3 prescriptions)
  4. Spent $73 saved $63
  5. Spent $22 saved $27
There are many sites/blogs that I follow to help me with this endeavor. To find them just search "coupons" in your toolbar. Better yet click on my Swagbucks banner to the left. You can search & earn points for prizes or my fave, Amazon gift cards. Here are three of my favorite sites to get you started:

It is my hope that as I continue to learn more about coupons that I will get better at saving money on my groceries. For now I'll just take it one day, one coupon at a time.

"BoBo"
(He looks incredibly like his dad, "Coach" in this photo)

"Lil Bo Bo"
(My sweet little punkin')

These are the two latest photos I received from my oldest child. He is out in CA with his son and girlfriend for the summer. My son will return later on this month to finish college.(His scholarship is here) In December he will receive his Bachelors Degree. I am so proud of the man he has become. It is not easy maintaining a long distance relationship, going to school full time and being a dad. Yet, he is succeeding. It is my hope that after graduation, his little family will relocate somewhere closer. Maybe down the street? lol
California is too far away. I am missing my boys.
