Please Join me & light a candle

In Memory of my Beautiful Sister, Tasha.

Siblings Walking Together
(Formerly the Sibling Credo)
We are the surviving siblings of The Compassionate Friends.
We are brought together by the deaths of our brothers and sisters.
Open your hearts to us, but have patience with us.
Sometimes we will need the support of our friends.
At other times we need our families to be there.
Sometimes we must walk alone, taking our memories with us,
continuing to become the individuals we want to be.
We cannot be our dead brother or sister;
however, a special part of them lives on with us.
When our brothers and sisters died, our lives changed.
We are living a life very different from what we envisioned,
and we feel the responsibility to be strong even when we feel weak.
Yet we can go on because we understand better than many others
the value of family and the precious gift of life.
Our goal is not to be the forgotten mourners that we sometimes are,
but to walk together to face our tomorrows as surviving siblings of
The Compassionate Friends.

Back a bit, waiting on Ole Saint Nick

I have a little bit of internet access, FINALLY!! I am sharing my son's computer when he is at school and firing up old T-rexi when ever I can get her started and get a signal. Managed to make a few posts on my other blog and even have entered a few sweeps. Yippee! It feels good to back on the blogging bike again. Even though I tend to fall / get pushed off. I have been promised that dear old Santa Claus will be sliding through my attic with wired internet access come Christmas morn.
I sure do hope that is the case or someone will be sleeping in the shed in 2010.

Blog Status Update

Dear Bloggy,Froggy Friends & Followers,

It's been forever and a day since I made a post. My hope was that after all of the end of school year activities were over that I could get back to blogging on a regular basis. Well, we all know that quote about the road paved with good intentions. Needless to say, life, like baseball sometimes throws you a curve ball. At the present time I have limited computer and internet access. So please know that I have not forgotten you. I still appreciate you. I still manage to check my email every few days. SO, if you need prayers, healing vibes,to vent, to chat etc.. drop me a line. I will get back to you.Until then I'll be leaping into life and quite a few books:)

Does driving the kids around town count as being creative?

I haven't been writing much lately. This mama frog has been leaping from lily pad to lily pad . If I can come up with something for dinner it is a good day. Right now I am in the process of making my daughter a costume of a blue ox. So far I have a blue muumuu dress , a blue shower cap and I am trying to figure out how to add the horns. Thank goodness I do not have to take the FCAT. Or be the blue ox. School will out by the end of this month!I am counting down the days to get my brain, blog and my life back. Yet someone still thinks I have it.

A creative, cool,"never afraid to put it all out there," awesome blogger: JustJen
gave me this award. She never fails to surprise me or give me a grin every time I visit her blog.
I really appreciate her acknowledgment of my lily pad.
The rules for this award are:
List 7 things you love then award 7 blogs

I love many things and here are 7 of them:
My family & friends (that includes my cats)
Frogs
The earth
Sarcasm/Sense of Humor
Being Thrifty/Great Deals
Giveaways
Afternoon Naps (desperately needed at this time)

Now on to awarding 7 blogs. Each blog that I chose speaks to me in different ways.
Please know that you are under no obligation to accept this award. Also if you do accept it, please do not feel any pressure to pass it on to 7 people. It is so hard to choose and can be somewhat intimidating. Just accept the award and put it on your blog:)

overcoffee

sneakydaddy

finefrugality

fondofsnape

cajoh

paperbackdesigns

And also to a special VIP aka "Brettania."Currently her blog is private, but she is fab and I haven't forgotten that she is one of the most Kreative Bloggers out there!

Now I am off to post on my other blog, alas I got the same award there. I am really feeling the bloggy love. Just hoping that I can be creative and pay it forward in the right way.
Not to say of stay awake:)

Aloha Friday April 24, 2009

Come join the fun at:

aloha-friday

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day everyone takes it easy and looks forward to the weekend.
On Saturday I am taking my daughter and her friends to our local
Earth Day Tree Fair. There will be many fun and educational events. We will bring a few trees home to plant in our yard. Later in the evening, the Coach and I will attend a multi-year high school reunion. We look forward to catching up with old friends.

So what are your weekend plans?

The Earth is filled will many magical shades of green. There is a place for everyone to find the one that suits them best. So do not be intimidated. You have to start somewhere. Be it with a reusable grocery bag, changing a light bulb or maybe just with a small seed and a little bit of dirt.
Take a step outside.
