My baby sister, TASHA 1975-2006
It's Wishcasting Wednesday and Jamie wants to know :
What do you wish for your well being?
Today will mark 4 years since my beautiful sister left this world to fly amongst the angels.
She was such a precious gem that radiated so much joy!
I miss the love and laughter that she brought to my life.
Not a day goes by that I do not think of her. After 4 years I am nowhere close to being "over" it.
Grief, like life, is a journey. Sometimes the waves of sadness overwhelm me.
Others times I am carried out to a sea of wonderful memories.
It is my wish to find and experience Joy , Peace, Gratitude and Love every day.
For there are good for my soul.
Today I will focus on the good, the great, the fantastic in my life!
And...tonight before I got to bed. I will spend some quiet time remembering my little sister.

It's that time of the week. Bloggers come together and share what makes them happy while we wait our turn to write in the Happy Book that is currently being passed along the globe.
School is out for the summer. Yippee! Time for this mom to sleep in. I look forward to staying up late, catching up on some good books and watching some chick flicks with my daughter, Bubbles and my mom, MeMa. My nephew is on his way over to spend the week with us, so I have stocked up the kitchen cabinets with some of his favorites treats. Also I have ice tea brewing as I write. Buzz Jr, says that no one makes Southern Sweet Tea like his Auntie L. He is such a sweet young man. He always makes me feel appreciated, even for the small stuff. My bro and his wife had DD for the past week. DD and Buzz Jr are best friends. It is so great to have family that are your friends. This is really important when you need a rabbit cage :) My SIL is the animal whisperer. My brother is like my dad was and can build anything. So when Buzz Jr and DD arrive , they will also be bringing Lila Mohawk her new home. My son Easy E and his girlfriend are involved in a local bunny rescue organization. That's how Lila Mo became our newest family member. I tried to protest, but darn it, she is so cute and needed a safe place to dwell.

Guess what? I was the grand prize winner at a twitter party hosted by Galtime and I received a gift card to Eden Home. The Cleo night shirt/tunic along with the cropped pants is the most comfortable outfit I have ever owned. It hides a multitude of tummy flaws and also is perfect for a mom to be. So I also sent the shirt to my pregnant, future DIL.

Last month I had the privilege of hosting a Schwans HouseParty ! We celebrated two birthdays and a dear friend coming into town with some delicious food provided by Schwans. For my party box I received the following:
- #401 meatballs
- #746 avocado halves
- #851 roasted baby bakers (potatoes)
- #644 chocolate chip cookies (frozen, ready to bake)
- #549 popcorn shrimp
- #572 flatbread cheese pizza
- #494 oven roasted chicken bites
- #125 vanilla ice cream minis
- #850 green bean fries
- #639 mini corn dogs
- #642 buffalo chicken dip (I ordered this as an extra, as it is a family fave)
We had about 20 people from ages 8 to 80 enjoy this delicious food provided by Schwans. There were conversation starter cards that had some great questions. One of the questions was " If you could change/make a new name for yourself, what would it be?" The answers were hilarious. I hoped I could pick one as my favorite but it was too difficult. So I just randomly chose a guest to receive a $10 (maybe they can use it on their first order at Schwans.) Each guest received a calendar, insulated bag, coupons and catalog.
The kids were just as excited about the bags as the adults.
They also loved the green bean fries! Who says kids don't like veggies?
However, I would have to say that the favorite (other than the cookies and ice cream mini's)
were the mini corn dogs. This was all that was left at the end of our 7 hour party:

What Do You Wish To Know?
Patience is a virtue which I do not have at the moment. BoBo & Missy are having their first baby.
My first grandchild. I have to wait until JULY to find out if it is a boy or girl. Gender neutral baby clothes are hard to find nowadays! There are so many cute outfits out there and I want to go shopping!
On a different note, I would like to know a few other things.I was feeling pretty overwhelmed a few weeks back. After reading an article (My Guardian Angel) in the March 22, issue of Womans World Magazine, I decided to ask God , my guardian angels and the universe for a sign. Well, make that 3 signs. In the article the woman had asked for a yellow bird. So I asked for a yellow bird, a parakeet or parrot and an orange bird. I figured the chance of me seeing these birds were pretty low. After sending out my request I went inside and started watching TV. Not 5 minutes later a yellow bird appeared on the TV screen (in a commercial for pita chips), just like the one in the magazine. Later in the evening, my husband kept telling me I had missed an episode of Kirstie Alleys-Big Life. I was adamant that I had watched them all. But to prove him wrong I went ahead and turned on the latest episode. Right away there was a parakeet in her kitchen. (and he was right, I hadn't seen that episode) The next day I walked into my son's room and happened to glance at the TV. Yep, on the screen was an orange parrot.
Later in the week I saw 2 orange cardinals (aren't they usually red?).
So here is what I wish to know. I believe that these were signs. Do you think so too?
Or am I running with an invisible ball or flapping my bird wings over nothing?
