What Burden Do You Wish To Put Down?
My answer: (Survivor's) Guilt
I don't care how old you are. Losing your only sister and then your dad eighteen months later does something to you. It messes with your mind. At least it has for me. I wonder sometimes what I have done that is so wrong in this life to deserve to be without them. I don't think they should have died so young. They were such rays of light and had much to offer this world. In my head I know I couldn't have saved them, yet I still beat myself up for not noticing the signs sooner. As if (in my Dad's case) I even had a chance of winning the battle against Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma. Then of course I start beating myself up for things I should have said or what I should have done in all aspects of my life. I know how much my "sissy" and Daddy loved and appreciated me. They told me so. With their words, actions, in cards and letters. Grief has just done a number on me. Better yet, It is the potter and I am the clay. Constantly manipulating me.
I feel ashamed even as I write this.
My friend's beautiful five year old little boy has been diagnosed with cancer. It is going to be a long journey for this beautiful child and his family. If I truly have one wish this week it is for Kaiden. Please pray for him. Send healing vibes his way. Also if you would like to send postcards to him and his 8 year old brother (Ashton) to brighten their day, please let me know or check out Cards for Kaiden to Kick Cancer - Technorati Family. We are hoping to "fill up the map" on a bulletin board of encouragement.

I used to have an MP3 player. I would plug it into my car's tape deck and jam to my fave tunes. Then there was a stop sign. My beloved MP3 player landed directly in my coffee cup. The 'Mom Taxi" has been dull for some time now. Fortunately I just won a new Creative Zen player from Napster. Can't wait to download some songs and get back to the beat.
Girl talk. The kids are back in school. This means that I get to chat with my gal pals without any interuptions. This morning my friend Kathy had me giggling like a teenager. Wonderful!
Prepping for my upcoming garage sale. I like things done in a certain way. Once again, without being interupted.
Blogging, Twitter, Facebook
Journaling, Meditating & Dreaming. I've been a summer slacker. Definitely ready to spend some quality time with ME:)

Patience is a virtue which I do not have at the moment. BoBo & Missy are having their first baby.
My first grandchild. I have to wait until JULY to find out if it is a boy or girl. Gender neutral baby clothes are hard to find nowadays! There are so many cute outfits out there and I want to go shopping!
On a different note, I would like to know a few other things.I was feeling pretty overwhelmed a few weeks back. After reading an article (My Guardian Angel) in the March 22, issue of Womans World Magazine, I decided to ask God , my guardian angels and the universe for a sign. Well, make that 3 signs. In the article the woman had asked for a yellow bird. So I asked for a yellow bird, a parakeet or parrot and an orange bird. I figured the chance of me seeing these birds were pretty low. After sending out my request I went inside and started watching TV. Not 5 minutes later a yellow bird appeared on the TV screen (in a commercial for pita chips), just like the one in the magazine. Later in the evening, my husband kept telling me I had missed an episode of Kirstie Alleys-Big Life. I was adamant that I had watched them all. But to prove him wrong I went ahead and turned on the latest episode. Right away there was a parakeet in her kitchen. (and he was right, I hadn't seen that episode) The next day I walked into my son's room and happened to glance at the TV. Yep, on the screen was an orange parrot.
Later in the week I saw 2 orange cardinals (aren't they usually red?).
So here is what I wish to know. I believe that these were signs. Do you think so too?
Or am I running with an invisible ball or flapping my bird wings over nothing?

- Having my first review and giveaway with CSNStores . It was huge success:)
- Not having a nervous breakdown when BOTH of my vehicles went on the fritz and ate up what little savings I had.
- Preventing a household war. Easy E accidently broke DD's school project. It was a toothpick bridge. DD was more than just upset at having to start over. (definitely worth more than 1 star)
- Keeping up with the laundry and keeping the house clean and organized. This is a difficult task for me but the showers are still sparkling clean! Woot!
- Turning 29 again and having a fabulous DiGiorno's House Party to celebrate.
- Getting on the back of a Harley Davidson in celebration/memory of my Dad. It was the ride of a lifetime!
- Making it through my Goddaughter's baby shower w/o ruining it. Her grandfather was my dad's best friend. Once we saw each other, we hugged and cried. Also knowing that my sister would never have this day, really hurt. However I had to focus on the joy of soon having a new "nephew" to hold in my arms.
- Taking a twitter break. We all know how much I love tweeting. However I took some time off and spent time playing board games and watching movies with my family.
- Getting out of the house. I can be a total hermit. One of my dear friends is in town and we have gone to lunch twice! Woot!
- Shopping.. I had a $25 Macy's gift card. I planned on using it for the kids. However I really needed some new shorts. So I did the unthinkable. I shopped for myself and didn't feel guilty!
At least not this week. Yet I am not going to worry about these things. I am going to be happy and grateful for all that I have done. Bring on the gold stars! Now it is your turn. Tell me something you have accomplished!

wishcasting-wednesdayThis week Jamie wants to know:
What dream do wish to explore?
Do you dream in vivid colors? I do. Every night. Whenever possible I try to write down my dreams (even if this mean scribbling in the dark, half asleep!) Dreaming is usually a
a wonderful time for me. I find that I receive messages and can gain insight into what is going on in my life. Many times I have had a dream that came true. At night before I go to bed
I ask God , my guardian angels & my guides:
"What do wish me to know"
or
"Can you give me answer/sign regarding..."
Also, I ask for the means to interpret my dreams correctly. After all,
I am LeapnLissa La Latte and sometimes I need a thump on the head:)
Guidance in my dreams is a great thing. I believe it helps me in my every day life.
For my biggest daytime dream is :
"to be a friend to man"
In any way that God & the universe want me to be.
Although I have many wishes & aspire to do many things, this is my main goal in life. I will always be successful in my endeavors if my heart is in the right place.
I think loving others and accepting them for who they are is a great place to start.
What are your dreams my wonderful, bloggy, froggy, wishcasters?
Joy,love & light to you always..

A continuation of Wake-up calls (aka thumps on the head) that will help
me on this journey of self discovery. I ask that God, the Universe and the Angels to keep sending me the signs , as well as the courage, compassion and wisdom to know what to do with them. I pray to experience strength, healing, JOY and YES! a Miracle or two. It is also my hope that I can continue to be and meet those that are a "friend to man"

Jamie wants to know:
What do you wish to let go?
The baggage and burden of FEAR that keeps me from my true journey in life.
Fear of failure
Fear of success
Fear that I look way too fat in this dress
Fear that I won't remember
Fear that I will forget
Fear that my life will be full of regret
Fear that I am too smart
Fear that I am too dumb
Fear that I will spend my life being
"uncomfortably numb"
Fear is in my heart
Fear is in my head
Fear is what keeps me from getting out of bed
Fear and I have been
playing pretend
Best friends
For far too long
It is wrong
Time for it to
END

What Do You Wish To Share?
Well I guess I am going to share the truth as to why I haven't blogged all summer.
Let's start out with limited internet access. T-rexie is not what she used to be and when she is working sometimes I still could not get a connection, which still to this day is sooooo frustrating. I have been promised a a wired connection by Christmas. I may crawl or possibly fall through the attic myself if necessary to get this accomplished. There were times I did get on the computer. Usually late at night or in the wee hours of the morning. I admit it. I was on facebook. It just so happens that after numerous invites I finally sucked it up and signed on. My high school reunion was this year and afterward everyone else was chatting so I figured why not? I'm stuck in the middle of foreclosure city and I am bored silly. One can only read so many books. Which I did. About 30, at last count. And then there is the big TRUTH. I got a pair of double D's. Now don't excited. I am not talking about my breasts. Even though I wouldn't mind a new bra and a pair of those inserts that look kind of like rubber chicken cutlets to enhance what I once had and lost. No, I am talking about Double Depression. The economy had me down and so did the grips of grief. I am missing my sister and dad like crazy. Currently I am trying to get myself back on track in all aspects of my life, including blogging. I have decided to take baby steps and to just be in the moment. Whatever that might BE. I have missed my soul tribe and hope that you can understand.

Wishcasting Wednesdays at : starshyneproductions
There is no Wishcasting prompt this week. Jamie is taking a much deserved balance break to relax and unwind. Meanwhile I am "neither here nor there, I am everywhere" Even though I am directionally challenged, a classy and sassy friend of mine who also drives and blogs faster than I can blink or think : eightymphmom has given me the Kreative Blogger Award. I appreciate her acknowledging my blog. Especially since I have not been doing much creating lately. Unless fantasizing about ways to get more zzzzzzz's count! You are probably wondering what this has to do with wishcasting. Well technically I am supposed to tell you 7 things that I love and then pass this award on to 7 more bloggers. However I am not going to do that. It is my wish this week that my fellow wishcasters will accept this award.
You motivate
You enlighten
You encourage
You give
You believe
You create
Now what are you waiting for? Grab this award and place it on your blog!
Let the world know what I already do.
You are a Kreative Blogger.
