So I have forgotten how to do some of the basics (like hyperlinks) on my blog. My signature is stuck in the middle of my posts. Yet it is no biggie. Things always manage to work themselves out. It is more important to be relaxed, joyous, happy and just plain loving life every day. It is my wish that you are feeling the same way. !NAMASTE! Lissa Signature Share Share/Bookmark

*Before surgery make sure they mark the right spot*

It's been a very busy, busy few weeks. I have not forgotten my bloggy, froggy friends
Just overwhelmed. Here's an update
  • My son "DD" had surgery for a torn MCL & Meniscus. He is now going physical therapy 2x a week. He is doing well, my bank account is suffering!
  • We read the last rites to our 1996 Cadillac. She still looked fabulous but her engine couldn't be revived.
  • We now have my beloved sister's  1999 Mazda truck. It needed 4 new tires but it runs good and gets much better gas mileage. My hubby drives 90 miles round trip to work everyday so this will help.
  • I went a month w/o a washer and dryer!. Fortunately a friend at the church was moving and had an extra set. I am so thankful that I no longer have to spend a fortune at the laundromat.
  • I celebrated another birthday. 29 again:)
  • Every Saturday I get out on the field and play ball. I still haven't made it to first base, my legs just won't move as fast as I tell them to. I am hitting the ball though.
  • My shoulder was "thrown out" so I had to visit Dr. "McDreamy" & get a cortisone shot. Range of motion is much better. Staring at the Doc helped tremendously..lol
  • My Aunt & Uncle flew into town from Texas. It was great spending time with them and catching up. They treated us to dinner at Red Lobster and yes, I brought home extra cheddar biscuits!
  • I gave in & colored "Bubbles" hair. It is a mahogany color. Fortunately it's not permanent.
  • My cousin is due with her first baby this month. She is having a girl . The baby's name is a secret. I think Lissa is great choice:)
  • Easter will soon be here and so will my grandson. Skype  and photos are not enough. I miss him so much and look forward to giving him lotsa love from "MiMi Li"

Lil Bo Bo loves his shades

Hope everyone had a great spring break!

This week Jamie asks: What story do you wish to live or let go of?

Grief has affected my life in so many ways.
I am not the woman that I used to be.
Some people may fear grief, not understand it or maybe just don't care.
I am tired of pretending that this is not a part of me.
To stay silent so others can feel comfortable. Why should I have to
jump over THEIR hurdles when I have MY own obstacle course to go through?
Why stay in the "shallows" because others can't see the big, deep, blue sea?
MY life is a journey. There is joy and sorrow. Grief and gratitude.
Laughter and tears. Sunshine and rain.
Whatever the day may bring, I wish to embrace it , be in it and not to give
    "two, tinkle, tinkle wolfs, wolfs"
worrying about what other people think.

What story do you wish to live or let go of?

Jamie's got us to "Wreck this Journal"

It's been weeks since I have blogged. That is because I have been walking, running, diving and sleeping with scissors. School plays, band concerts, graduations, birthdays,a reunion, a funeral, and a wedding. Last night I crawled into bed with my new friend, Wreck This Journal. "WTJ" gets me (and my husband's snoring.) We fell asleep together to the sound of the rain coming from my Homedic sounds alarm clock. This morning we had coffee together. I spilled some on WTJ and there was no yelling (even though technically I was on the wrong page) Life can be hectic at times. Yet my journal and I are in this journey together. We are looking forward to having some FUN. Hopefully we won't be arrested for peeling stickers off of fruit at the grocery store. We shall see. Together we are looking forward to not only our adventures, but hearing about the adventures of our soul tribe. It's time to get "Wonderfully Wrecked."

I haven't been writing much lately. This mama frog has been leaping from lily pad to lily pad . If I can come up with something for dinner it is a good day. Right now I am in the process of making my daughter a costume of a blue ox. So far I have a blue muumuu dress , a blue shower cap and I am trying to figure out how to add the horns. Thank goodness I do not have to take the FCAT. Or be the blue ox. School will out by the end of this month!I am counting down the days to get my brain, blog and my life back. Yet someone still thinks I have it.

A creative, cool,"never afraid to put it all out there," awesome blogger: JustJen
gave me this award. She never fails to surprise me or give me a grin every time I visit her blog.
I really appreciate her acknowledgment of my lily pad.
The rules for this award are:
List 7 things you love then award 7 blogs

I love many things and here are 7 of them:
My family & friends (that includes my cats)
    Frogs
    The earth
    Sarcasm/Sense of Humor
    Being Thrifty/Great Deals
    Giveaways
Afternoon Naps (desperately needed at this time)

Now on to awarding 7 blogs. Each blog that I chose speaks to me in different ways.
Please know that you are under no obligation to accept this award. Also if you do accept it, please do not feel any pressure to pass it on to 7 people. It is so hard to choose and can be somewhat intimidating. Just accept the award and put it on your blog:)

And also to a special VIP aka "Brettania."Currently her blog is private, but she is fab and I haven't forgotten that she is one of the most Kreative Bloggers out there!

Now I am off to post on my other blog, alas I got the same award there. I am really feeling the bloggy love. Just hoping that I can be creative and pay it forward in the right way.
Not to say of stay awake:)

    Jamie

    wishes to know
What do you wish to change?

There is so many ways this can be answered.
Time for a little truth telling.

For quite a few years I have been dead inside.
I was going through the motions.
I didn't realize how much grief and fear had taken over my life.
The optimist and idealist I had always known and loved had been replaced.

    With a pessimistic fatalist.
    EWWWWWWWW

By December of 2008 I had to take a long hard look at myself.
But it is hard to recognize a woman you do not know.
So I decided to make a CHANGE.

To not be afraid and just live.
    To laugh more.
    To find myself.

To follow the principles I truly believed in.
This is a great and wonderful thing.

    Most people are happy.
They always knew that there was so much more to the real me.

It also scares the heck out of some people.
The grief was bad, but now what the heck is this?

    I say:

    Get used to it.
No longer am I chicken little.

If you cannot handle me ,
My writing, my little green bags-filled with coupons and some Fels-Naptha Soap ,
my reviews and giveaways, my views on life and all that come with it,
my sense of humor, my friends
( who come in all shapes, sizes, colors, religious, non-religious and political backgrounds)

Then go change YOUR Granny Panties in your own glass house .

**Wishing only the best of change to my wishcasting wonderful friends**

The road to “you know where "is paved with good intentions. Well blah, blah blah. Here is my list of intentions for last week:

    1.Blog everyday
2.Terminate my addiction to cigarettes . Period
3.Bust a move on the Dance Dance Revolution 2 ~via~ Nintendo Wii every other day to get a good work out
    4. Meet up with 3 friends (same day) 1 town over ( 45 minutes away) -finally girl time!!
    5.Finish my Gremlin box.
    6.Clean out the kitchen drawers
    7.Meditate....daily
    8.New haircut-as in layers & color-think: razor sharp,dark & sultry
    9.Don't cry
10.Pursue my dream of becoming a philanthropist via the Powerball.

However, this is what I managed to do:

    1. Not destroy my computer with a sledgehammer. Read a few blogs that I enjoy when said computer was working.
    2. Reduce my Nicotine intake by about 90%
    3. Played badminton with dh for a 1/2 hour. It was brutal. I lost, but still looked good in the process(think Mary Katherine Gallagher/SNL)
    4. Met up with 1 of my friends & had lunch at a fave Mexican place. We spent the entire afternoon together, drinking coffee, talking about our hair, food, shopping, music, the 80's,love, life, the after-life & grief. **Bonus** The kids only called me twice during the entire time!
    5. Put a couple of things in my Gremlin box-It's getting there, the voices in my head can't stop me.
    6. Rearranged the kids bedrooms (yes they helped, yes it needed to be done)
    7. Meditated..twice. Even though 1 of the times it was only for about 7 minutes. Does under the biggest, most beautiful, full moon count for double time?
    8. Got a “newish” hair style-no layers (hair too fine/thin-I knew she would say that!) However I did get a whopping 2 inches cut off the ends! also added some dark brown color underneath to give my hair some ooomph!
    9. I cried, but I needed to. I can't hold it in all the time.
    10. I managed to donate 3 boxes of clothes & misc. to Goodwill, have another set of clothes ready for the church thrift store. I received a $10 rebate in the mail AND the Powerball is still here, my numbers will come up! When the universe is ready & I'm ready for it:)

    Don't put yourself in detention
    Based on your Intentions
    **Journey ON**

PS # 2 was decreased to 75 % today, when ½ of my blog was erased due to a defective computer mouse.( Arghhhh-Waaaaaa) But alas tomorrow is another day & I will remind my dh to put that darn patch on my me b4 he goes to work.
