I am proud to say that we are a family united. Together we stand. With one exception.: Football.
When it comes to college football this FANMAT would describe our household perfectly.
 We are divided 3-3.

When it comes to the NFL, all six of our family members have our own  favorite team. It is not easy to find everything for everyone. In fact, I  used to hate shopping for  NFL items.  Not anymore. Wayfair  makes it easy and at  reasonable prices. No longer do I have to run around all over town trying to find something a store ultimately does not carry or wants to charge me an arm and a leg for. Giving me more time to get home and watch the game. Thanks to Wayfair  ( AKA Santa Claus) my son received

this

and this

He is absolutely thrilled with his new hat and throw. The hat fits hims perfectly.
The throw is  60x 90, extremely plush and comfortable.
I am pretty sure he would take them both to school with him if it was allowed.
(He did take them both on a 3 day trip over winter break)
He does fall sleep with them. As you can see in this photo:

And "DD" does need his sleep. Because football can be brutal. Especially when your team doesn't make it to the playoffs. In fact out of the 6 teams we root for in this family,
only 1 team has a chance of going all the way to the Superbowl this year.
That would be MY team:)
If you are looking for some great NFL or sports  items, or pretty much anything for your household ,
I highly suggest you shop at Wayfair.
I am sure that you can find something for the numerous fans in your life.
Shopping at Wayfair. is always a WIN!

Disclosure:
I was contacted by Wayfair &
given the opportunity to review the items of my choice.
All opinions are expressed in this review are my own.

It's official. We will be having Thanksgiving. All in part to Pfister Faucets. Thanks to Pfister I was given the opportunity to review the faucet of my choice. Although there were many great faucets to choose from, I  ultimately decided on the Elevate EXT kitchen faucet . The Elevate EXT gives me the freedom to adjust the height of my kitchen faucet. It  swivels 360 degrees and even has a pull out sprayer!  I no longer will have to struggle getting my roasting pan clean  before and after "Turkey" day. Not to say of of all the big pots and pans I have to deal with cleaning on a regular basis.  I do have a large family that likes to eat.  I chose the Elevate EXT  in Stainless Steel. However, you might like it in Midnight Chrome, Antique Copper or maybe some other finish. They have 21 selections to choose from. Installation is easy.
A manual is enclosed with your faucet
and you also can just go to the Pfister website for a quick "how to" video.
I would highly recommend the Elevate EXT to anyone who needs a faucet that is functional, versatile is backed by a lifetime warranty  and ........makes your kitchen look AWESOME!
I can't wait to show it off to my family and friends when they come over for Thanksgiving.
Which is a great thing. They never have been much impressed with my cooking.

FTC Disclosure:
I was contacted  by Pfister and given a faucet in exchange for this review.
 All opinions are my own.
Any facts are directly taken from manufacturer's website.

Dear Daddy,

Yesterday, I walked out the store and glanced up at the sky. There was the biggest, most beautiful, double rainbow I have ever seen in my entire life. The first words out of my mouth were:
"It is as if as God has come to greet us"
It is my wish that you will be one of the first to greet me when my journey on this earth ends, For now, I hope that you are celebrating your birthday In Heaven. I am so grateful
for the day that you were born.
How blessed I am to be your daughter. Have a slice of coconut cake, and take a drive on your Harley (Surely you must have one by now..lol) Also don 't forget to give  "Baby Brat"
(Lil' Sissy) a twirl or two on the dance floor.
As much as you want to, please  DO NOT cut the grass, chain saw trees, or fix something.
It is  your Birthday.
Relax and enjoy it.
I am sure that you have earned  more than a day, a week, a year, etc... off.
I love and miss you more than words can say.
Daddy's girls are Daddy's girls FOREVER!
XOXOXO
Love,
"Big Sissy"

poppy metallic signature large wristlet
photo via google images at We Love Coach
A couple weeks ago I won a $100 Coach gift card thanks to Simply... Inspired.
The next day I checked out the site and was instantly reminded of my friend,
bowling buddy and lover of all things COACH, Diane M.
She and her daughter Nicky always had a Coach.com purse, wallet or shoes, etc..
I used to tease them all the time when we were bowling.
I would say something like this:
"If your handbag disapears tonight, Diane, I swear I'm not responsible"
Yesterday, I was shocked & saddened  to hear that Diane had passed away.
We had been out of touch. I didn't know she had been so sick and
I had not been there for her. I didn't get to pay my respects at her memorial service.
All of this playing over and over in my head as the tears roll down my face.
Then I felt a nudge, a niggle, a thought out of nowhere or maybe SOMEwhere.
When did I win the gift card? When was I on the Coach website? And sure enough there it was. The day I was on the website was the day Diane went to Heaven.
And maybe, just maybe she was sending me a message, I just didn't know it at the time.
For the record there was a cute PINK, wristlet I wanted from Coach. However, I just didn't feel I needed it, so I purchased two nice, little Christmas surprises for people that I care about. Also, I always feel it is  better to share the love and wealth whenever possible.
Anyway, I already have two, small, but very nice Coach handbags, given to me

by generous peeps that love me and know my fondness of Coach.
I just wish I could have shown Diane my doggone cute handbags. We would  have had a Coach loving moment together one last time in person.
However, I am extremely grateful for the moment or shall I say SIGN from the other side.

Thanks for sharing the love Diane. You were always a good friend to me and that will never be forgotten.
I  ♥ you , and someday I will see you again.

In fact you better have a ( pink or purple) COACH handbag and bowling gear ready for me when we meet at Heaven's Gate.

In loving memory of
 Diane  M.

Coach holding our grandson for the first time! Easter 2011
I can't believe that summer is here! It seems like only yesterday our family was celebrating Easter. Our grandson was down for an entire week & we just were so overjoyed to spend time with him.My teenage daughter thought the way her dad (Coach) interacted with 'Lil BoBo" was hilarious. They definitely have a special connection. My hubby has always been great with babies & "Bubbles" just doesn't remember as she is our "baby" girl. After our joyous time with "Lil BoBo" she informed me that she was ready for a baby brother or sister. I told her to talk to God about it, as it will take some kind of miracle!

The last couple of months have been hectic. You know, end of school year rush..etc. I am so glad to be free of school projects until September.  Unfortunately, that means I am already hearing "I'm so bored" from my teens. lol We have gone swimming & they have also gone bowling thanks to Kids Bowl Free. I highly recommend you check it out if your kiddos are driving you crazy! It's a fun way to keep them busy & happy.
At some point I hope to make it to the beach. However, I hate fighting to find a parking space as well as wearing a swimsuit in public..lol  I SO want my teenage body back:)

Anyhoooo, I have missed talking to my bloggy pals & am determined to be a better blogger! It is my hope that your summer is going well!

Little "Bo Bo" loves his frog blanket
Just had to update you on how cute he is:)

Spring has sprung and I have been leaping all around town.
The beach has been calling my name but alassome things are not meant to be.
My son "DD" got hurt playing football. So it has been back and forth to the doctors office.
The good news : He doesn't have a torn ACL.
The bad news: He has a complex tear in his Meniscus & Grade 2 tear in the Ligament.
So he will need arthroscopy on his knee. The doc said we dodged a bullet.
(Tell that to my bank account..lol)
At least all of my laundry is done. That is because my washer is broken and I have been visiting the laundromat. I try to read a book while waiting but then just give up and walk to the bakery. A double chocolate donut may not be good for my waistline but sometimes
I just have to throw caution to the wind.
Which I am great at! If only I could say the same about softball. That's right. The girl who considers walking to the mailbox =exercise is now playing softball for the church team. I didn't want to. But my son was coaching and they would have to forfeit if someone didn't volunteer( or be forced to). So I borrowed my friends sneakers and got on the field. It was scary.
But I survived and even made it to first not once but, 3x! Woot!
Granted they were walks, but they still count.
I've played 3 games so far. Last week I didn't strike out! I hit the ball every time I was at bat.
Granted I didn't run fast enough to make it to the base but, hey! progress is being made.
I'm hosting a Johnsonville House Party this weekend. So we will be grilling and chilling.
Which is a good thing. Mama's tired and has a birthday coming up.
Anyhoooo. That's what's been going on in my world.
What's going on in yours?

Three years ago today I went to the flower shop and ordered a bunch of the most beautiful flower arrangements. Unfortunately they were not your typical Valentines bouquets. They were in honor and in memory of my Dad. Then I was off to the funeral home to make arrangements for the  memorial service.
I can honestly say it was not a great day for me. When you are slammed with grief, the last place you want to be is stuck in a flower shop surrounded by people "giddy" in love or sitting across the table from a solemn face man filling out tons of paperwork and writing an obituary. Unfortunately time travel was not an option for me. If so I would have gone straight to 4th grade when Mark S wrote on my Valentine that I was: the prettiest girl in the class and he liked me best. Life was good then. Sorrow hadn't truly touched me. Cardboard boxes filled with Valentines easily brought joy to my day. Now I get love notes that say "please wash my....etc." I am not a small child nor a young woman newly in love, so Valentine's day is one of the biggest, overrated holidays out there in my book. Most people run out at the last minute to get (and sometimes spend a fortune) on the perfect gift. I can't stand that. I mean Valentine's Day is always on February 14th. I prefer a gift with some thought put into it. Which brings me to my Dad.  Prior to the 14th, he knew he didn't have much time left. So he made sure that he got my mom a card and a gift for Valentine's day. He also made me promise him, that if he wasn't around on Valentine's day that I would buy roses for mom from him one last time should he not make it.  SO, on my way on home I stopped by another florist. I picked up a gorgeous bouquet of yellow roses tinged with red. Red for love, yellow for new beginnings. Just like daddy requested.  As you can imagine it was a very emotional moment when I gave her those last gifts from Dad. Bittersweet. Joy and Sorrow intertwined.

It's Wishcasting Wednesday over at Jamie's blog.
One of my BFF's, Kathy sent me this lovely photo
via text this this morning. Much to the chagrin of her teenage daughter, she decided to wear it shopping last night on November 2nd!!! It couldn't have come at a better time. Not only does it fit in with this week's question, but my life in general. Lately I have been running around like a chicken with my head cut off.
There have been car issues, septic tank issues,
water pump issues, financial issues and grief issues.
 Many long coversations with GOD.
Including one session in which I explained to him that I was not Job!
There have been numerous school projects, late night hair color changes,
middle school mean girls, garage cleaning,
a baby shower was planned & hosted, the kids had a Halloween party
the family got together for 2 nights of Karaoke and...
YES. After months & months of torture. I finally got a dishwasher. Woot!
Needless to say there hasn't been much time to blog, tweet, think...etc.
Any down I have has been NAPPING:)
 So Jamie wants to know:

What Do You Wish To Enjoy ??

The simple things in life that sometimes go overlooked.
The daily blessings.
My friend has kept me laughing since we were two giggling school girls.
She keeps me grinning when my world is spinning.
There is nothing like having 2 microphones & group of people singing to help you
chase the blues away.
There will always be issues and there will always be the yellow pages or in my case, my cousin.
Who did doggone good job when it came to auto repairs!
The support of family and friends never ends.
They don't  just dress up and shower you with presents.
They shower you with love.

Now, I am off sink my teeth into a fried egg sandwich
and enjoy
Stephen King's Under The Dome .

P.S. only 3 weeks to go & my grandson will be born! I am so excited:)

I  received this award from Sarah. It does not come with strings nor do I have to share with you 7 things. This award was created out of friendship, inspiration, joy and sorrow. It is Sarah's to share and hers alone. There is a beautiful story that comes along with it. I hope that you will take the time to read about her journey. You can find it on her blog >>>HERE
I often think of myself as a/an:
Momma Duck
Odd Duck
Sitting Duck
Lame Duck
and as of late a.....
Sneezing, wheezing, sniffling, coughing, "can't sleep at night" Duck
(sounds like a commercial, I could be on to something)
but, NEVER or rarely EVER a SWAN

Thanks Sarah for seeing something in me that I refuse to see in myself. I don't like looking in the mirror. Or even inside my head. Therefore, I always have Vaseline or Zinc-Oxide on hand
to keep everything hidden and distorted.

Just because my chances of attending the Oscars, Golden Globe or Grammy Awards are not in the cards for 2010/2011, let alone squeezing into a skintight dress and strapping on a pair of stilettos, doesn't mean I can't give an acceptance speech. Right?

Sarah,
Thank you so much for this award.
It is a privilege. An honor. A blessing.
I dedicate this award in memory of 2 people
that encouraged me
and believed in me
even when I had no faith in myself.
Not a day goes by that I do not think of them.
To my beloved sister & daddy
I hope that I've made you proud.
Namaste

Jamie's prompt question for this week is a good one! Here it is:
What do you wish for an abundance of?

HEALING

You know it's bad when the first words out of the handsome man's mouth are
" You're not looking so good"
Granted, he is my physician. At least he didn't add insult to injury by forcing me to get on that darn scale. He did send me home with presents.  I am now the proud  owner of an asthma inhaler, a bottle of "horse" pills aka antibiotics that are to be taken 4x a day and a Little Mermaid sticker. We won't discuss the financials. The men in the little white coats may need to be given my address.

We just bought a battery for my van. "Bessie" is 12 years old. (Remember 1 year  is equal to 7 when it comes to cars) Guess what? I've only driven her to the bus stop & back. Why? Because something stinks. Like sparklers. Maybe it's my imagination. Maybe every time  I drive my car I'm in a time warp & it's really the  4th of July.

Do you have a bank account? I do. I just am wondering why. These nasty little things called "Bills" are interfering with something I am supposed to have called "Savings"

Have you experienced the pain of losing someone you love? Pull up a chair and we will have some fun under the black sun on the "Grief Beach" It is pretty isolated. But I make a darn good Pina Colada. Don't bother to bring sunscreen or an umbrella. You'll get used to the pain to the point of being uncomfortably numb.

Hmmm. Missed last weeks question. Maybe this turtle stuck her head out of the shell.

I wish for an abundance of healing not only for myself, but for all.. Mind, body, spirit, soul. Within relationships, be them romantic or with friends, family or work related. Cars, Computer, appliances are included:)

Since my head feels like a football.... feel free to send some healing vibes to DA BUCS!
Sure would be nice to have a winning season.

I am apologizing in advance if I don't make it to your blog. Please know that I do wish you the best this week as in every week. But this darn infection is kicking my arse. It took me 4ever just write this post. Plus these really cute guys are at my door.........Dressed in white

Jamie over at Wishcasting has a great prompt this week. The question is:
What do you wish for less of?
A picture is worth a thousand words, so here goes!

Now the ONE thing I would like to see  MORE of is THIS:

Have a great week:)

This post is for the members of the "WWKD" and anyone who is just plain tired of hearing their single friends brag about their wonderful adventures in dating. I know some of you are not familiar with with the "WWKD" so I will clue you in. It is a very elite society. Members go through a ridiculous hazing process. I mean rigorous physical and mental preparation to qualify. Plus your name has to start with the letter "K" Unless you pass the 500 page questionnaire  or buy me dinner. We almost got everyone to get matching tattoos but eventually we decided on bracelets. To save money we just got the "WWJD" ones and made the "J" into a "K". We're in a recession  in case you didn't notice. But I am going off topic. So here is the deal. The married women in our group have some complaints. So they have come to me, the president of the "WWKD". For the record I became the designated leader by majority vote. Actually I just nominated myself. It's only  fair since all of the other members have better hair & better boobs than I do. Plus no one wanted the job. Now back to the problem. Evidently the single gals think that we need to hear every stinking detail of their dates.  For some reason they are under the impression that since we have been dragging the old ball & chain around in the deep end of the pool, I mean married, that we are unhappy. So I guess I am going to have to set the record straight. Here is some insight, straight from my own boring, I mean wonderfully, fulfilling, married life:

YOU SAY: My newest beau is 10 years younger than me, has washboard abs, drives a Porsche and looks just like David Beckham .

I  SAY:   According to the Carnies they sit at the dunk tank at the local fair, my husband  looks like Stone Cold Steve Austin on a BINGE. He also drives a 1996 Chevy pickup truck  & mows the lawn with his shirt OFF.

YOU SAY: He cooked me the most fabulous dinner, from scratch.

I SAY:  He cooked boil-n-a bag rice SANS the bag. He also put the TV dinners in the oven and left the plastic wrap ON.

YOU SAY: He brought me flowers and took me to that expensive dessert bar.

I SAY:   He stopped by Subway and brought me home not 1, but 3 cookies. He also got us a great deal on our insurance by switching to Geico.

YOU SAY: We had a romantic, passionate. intimate night on the beach.

I SAY:  While my husband snored, I ate Triscuits in our bed and watched True Blood  Sunday night.  I'm pretty sure there are still some crumbs left under the covers. So all I have to do is hit the button on my  Homedic Sound Machine and let the waves of passion begin.

Hopefully it is now obvious to you . The married gals of the "WWKD" really don't need  or want to hear  stories about your wild weekends. We don't live vicariously through you. We don't have to. Anyway even if we WANTED to. We just do not have the time.  We are too busy trying to explain to our husbands the proper way to cook boil-n-a bag rice.

I blame it all on Natalee. I stopped by her blog and she had found this website where you can create your own church signs. If I have offended any of my 10 regular readers ( mostly who are my family) I apologize. However, in my defense, I want to remind you that God  did BLESS me with a sense of humor. You know my sign really does just say out loud what people are thinking. Then again, I did create a few more just for fun. Better call  Father John and reserve the confessional, this might take awhile.

It's that time of the week and JAMIE wants to know:
How do you wish to spend some time?
The first answer  that popped into my mind was, well.....
Dressed up in a sexy outfit, alone in a room with  "Eric" from True Blood.
However since this is real life and not my fantasy world I guess I would be happy to sink my
teeth into  Charlaine Harris's Sookie Stackhouse Book Series. Also on my list:

  •  I used to have an MP3 player. I would plug it into my car's tape deck and jam to my fave tunes. Then there was a stop sign. My beloved MP3 player landed directly in my coffee cup. The 'Mom Taxi" has been dull for some time now. Fortunately I just won a new Creative Zen player from Napster. Can't wait to download some songs and get back to the beat.

  • Girl talk. The kids are back in school. This means that I get to chat with my gal pals without any interuptions. This morning my friend Kathy had me giggling like a teenager. Wonderful!

  • Prepping for my upcoming garage sale. I like things done in a certain way. Once again, without being interupted.

  • Blogging, Twitter, Facebook

  • Journaling, Meditating & Dreaming. I've been a summer slacker. Definitely ready to spend some quality time with  ME:)

Start playing It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year ! That's right. Why should this song just be reserved for the Holiday season? Let's face it. Most parents are secretly rejoicing . Not me. I am proudly proclaiming that "SCHOOL IS STARTING ON MONDAY"  Guess what? I will get to enjoy my coffee on the back porch without constantly being interupted. I will not have to fight for computer time. I will not have to hear "What's for dinner?" 60x in an 8 hour time frame. There will be no knocks on the bathroom door everytime I am in the shower. No questions while I am on the phone. I could meet friends for lunch. Get my hair done. Wear makeup. Learn how to vlog. Make a video for You Tube and become an overnight sensation.  The possibilities are endless. The backpacks are stuffed and by the door. The required forms have been filled out. Lunches have been planned. Let the school bell ring and this Mom shall sing.

My Daddy: Allen
1941-2008

It has been 2 years today since I last felt your arms around me. However, you are still ever so present in my thoughts. You are the greatest man I have ever known & I am going to share with my bloggy friends, what I wrote in celebration of your life, 2 years ago. Not a day goes by daddy.. I miss you..I love you..hope I am still making you proud. You are the reason I wish to Live in a "House By The Side Of The Road" (by Sam Walter Foss) and be a friend to man
Forever your little girl,
XOXO "Big sissy"

Today is a beautiful, joyous day. It is so because I get to talk about my father, Allen and the extremely abnormal family I grew up in. Now I know what you are thinking. That I am crazy. Or quite possibly over or under medicated. However please hear me out & I think you will understand.

I grew up watching the Brady Bunch & reruns of Father Knows Best , Leave It To Beaver & My 3 Sons .I loved these shows. In fact ,I thought they represented real life. What I didn’t realize was that this was far from the truth. My family wasn’t like other families.
My father wasn’t like other fathers.

When other men needed a son first, to feel like a real man, my father thought it would be great to blessed with a daughter. My brother & sister were the bonus babies

When other men viewed marriage as nothing but a piece of paper, my father loved & respected my mother & stayed committed to her for 44 years.

When other men were content to work when they felt like it. Or not work at all, my father got up every day to make sure we were provided for.

While other men were out drinking & carousing, my father was having dinner with his family & playing a game of monopoly, almost every night.

While other men took out their anger on their wives & their children, my fathers wrapped his arms around us & held us tight.

When other fathers walked away, my father helped us with homework & tucked us in at night.

While other men turned their backs on others because of their size, color or differences, my father was a friend to all that he met.

While other men said I am powerful I need no one, my father said “As for me & my house we shall serve the Lord.”

In a world where sadly, dysfunctional is now standard. & what should be is not, I had the fantasy. I grew up in the most wonderful, beautiful, fantastic, abnormal family you could ever meet. I had a dad that loved , honored & respected his family. Who also knew the importance of friendship. He loved his best friends Richard and Ralph. Our families hung out every weekend. Having pizza, swimming in the pool & doing things every family should do. Dad loved his brother Bill & his wife Pat, he liked to spend time with them & vacation with them. Last year they went on a cruise. He said it was one of the best times he & my mom had in his life. He loved his nephews, especially their sense of humor, which he was certain they inherited from him.. Family was everything to my dad. He loved being called POPPA. He loved the grandkids & was close to all of them. He loved talking sports, religion & politics with Bo-Bo picking up a guitar with Easy-E, A’s boundless energy, MJ’s creativity, Bubbles’s homemade cards & hugs & DD's ability to know when to wow the crowd or just be there for one, much like himself. He loved working in the garage & weekly home depot trips with his son-in-law Gene. And having great conversations with my sister-in-law Gladys. If he could work her into making him some pumpkin bread or coconut cake, then life was truly sweet. He loved his neighbors, his coworkers & his fellow man. He was a Redskin Fan in a field of Buccaneers, Cowboys, Dolphins, Packers & Steelers, who loved game & more importantly loved to talk Smack. He was a moderate who raised a conservative, bleeding heart liberal, & one who changed her mind depending on the tides, ties & the weather. He had a faith that could move mountains, a witty& wacky sense of humor & a way of driving a certain waitresses crazy every Friday morning(along with the breakfast club) He thought it was perfectly OK to use a chainsaw & lawnmower at 7:30 in the morning on a weekend ( for the record I think there should be a law against that), took the meaning of “one man’s trash is another mans treasure” to a whole new level, & if there wasn’t already a “Stairway to Heaven” I am positive he could have built one. There wasn’t a picture of Dolly Parton he didn’t like, a Hog he didn’t admire ( & I don’t mean the bacon), or a bluegrass channel he couldn’t find on the radio to torture his teenage daughter with on the long drives home when we lived in the country. He was known as Allen, Elwood, , Droopy Drawers, The LawnMan & Mr. Neatly. Yet To us he was just Dad. He called us Buzz Jr & Big Sissy & of course mom, his beloved Baby Duck. It was her hand he held until it was time to let go & then he took the hand of our beautiful sister, Tooter who led him into the light.

He was my Hercules, Hee Haw, Homer Simpson & my Hero. He was my Father & my Friend. Because of him I know, feel, & try to live my life with unconditional love.

Kahlil Gibran said
When you are joyous, look deep into your heart and you shall find it is only that which has given you sorrow that is giving you joy. When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.

The bible says-Psalm 30:5
"Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning”

Though my heart aches because I miss him already- Today is a beautiful, joyous, day. For to know Allen is to have loved him. And as Daddy said to me on my wedding day:
My cup runneth over, & I am blessed.

If Santa doesn't put what you want under the tree, remember Bloggy love lasts forever. Also know Santa will be held accountable. I have my own Naughty list. Know that Mr. Claus might just be sleeping in extremely uncomfortable quaters in 2010. Why? because I do NOT see evidence of him preparing my attic for better internet access. He better get his arse moving. It's HOT in FL. A fat guy in a little coat will not be comfortable in a 12x12 shed.

Wishing all my bloggy, froggy friends a Very, Merry Christmas.
*Peace* Love* Light*

Friday, November 6, 2009

I have a little bit of internet access, FINALLY!! I am sharing my son's computer when he is at school and firing up old T-rexi when ever I can get her started and get a signal. Managed to make a few posts on my other blog and even have entered a few sweeps. Yippee! It feels good to back on the blogging bike again. Even though I tend to fall / get pushed off. I have been promised that dear old Santa Claus will be sliding through my attic with wired internet access come Christmas morn.
I sure do hope that is the case or someone will be sleeping in the shed in 2010.

This weeks question is:

What Do You Wish To Share?

Well I guess I am going to share the truth as to why I haven't blogged all summer.

Let's start out with limited internet access. T-rexie is not what she used to be and when she is working sometimes I still could not get a connection, which still to this day is sooooo frustrating. I have been promised a a wired connection by Christmas. I may crawl or possibly fall through the attic myself if necessary to get this accomplished. There were times I did get on the computer. Usually late at night or in the wee hours of the morning. I admit it. I was on facebook. It just so happens that after numerous invites I finally sucked it up and signed on. My high school reunion was this year and afterward everyone else was chatting so I figured why not? I'm stuck in the middle of foreclosure city and I am bored silly. One can only read so many books. Which I did. About 30, at last count. And then there is the big TRUTH. I got a pair of double D's. Now don't excited. I am not talking about my breasts. Even though I wouldn't mind a new bra and a pair of those inserts that look kind of like rubber chicken cutlets to enhance what I once had and lost. No, I am talking about Double Depression. The economy had me down and so did the grips of grief. I am missing my sister and dad like crazy. Currently I am trying to get myself back on track in all aspects of my life, including blogging. I have decided to take baby steps and to just be in the moment. Whatever that might BE. I have missed my soul tribe and hope that you can understand.

Today's Question:
What Do You Wish For Your Body?

There is nothing I wish for my body. It is perfect. My scale however, is in need of repair . When I step on it in the morning (in my birthday suit), the number is WRONG. It is showing my fully dressed afternoon weight plus about 4lbs. The batteries are working properly. So what is going on?I am going to have to solve this problem and soon. The question is should I lie on that big ball and do some ab crunches or continue to eat a few bags of sunflower seeds and towers of crackers made with cheese, salami and pickles every night while trying to figure this out? Another problem I have is with the mirrors in my house. I know what I look like. Hot! Sexy!Beautiful! Young!Healthy! Vivacious! So who is that woman being reflected back at me? There are no lines on MY face. MY breasts do not look like shriveled up tangerines swinging in a pair of pantyhose. MY teeth are the whitest of white. You could bounce a quarter off of MY abs So please send help ASAP-that muffin top is scaring the heck out of me.That is what I wish for. Or maybe just some motivation. Or maybe a dictionary, evidently there is a word called denial......
What do you wish for your bodies my friends?
Babe of Beckham wants to know:)
