I would love to enter but my sound on my comp is out & I really wanted to let you know that I'm here! That being said, I do live in the desert & drip irrigation is major. It's a way to water w/o using up lots of water. Just a little bit dripped in continuously keeps the ground moistened enough to support life. Truly an amazing concept.

The salt water into drinkable water was interesting to me, as we have a boil order right now. I'd always taken water for granted, I won't be doing that again any time soon!

I like the video about desalination - I feel it has a definite place in our current water situation as ONE of the tools. I am also a very strong advocate of rain water harvesting! I didn't realize that the desalinization technique came from Israel!

The second video about desalination is pretty interesting. Living in the Great Lakes area I/we don't think all that much about it, but when he said that desalination is the source for a majority of the worlds drinking water, I had to pause and think how lucky we are! Very cool.
